After working in the financial services business in excess of forty years I have an understanding of the needs and desires of a wide range of clients from the simplest estate plan or business insurance need to the most complex multi-generational situation. Having worked with some of the most sophisticated professionals in my business I feel that I am in a unique position to offer my counsel to all levels of client needs. With expertise in business insurance, estate planning and charitable planning coupled with formal education in those areas affords me the opportunity to share my knowledge across the broad marketplace of financial services.

My Story

Terry has a track record of success that spans more than four decades in the financial services industry. His experience as a producer, regional manager, wholesaler and benefits broker, as well as his past and current leadership positions, including President of the San Diego Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the California Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, gives him a broad perspective on the life insurance industry. Terry is also a member of the Association of Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU) wherein he has lead the California delegation in the Annual Capitol Hill event in Washington, DC.

With the experience he has gained while working with some of the largest and most sophisticated producers in the business, he is able to bring a wealth of knowledge to his clients. Known for his honesty and integrity, Terry is always willing to go the extra mile to meet or exceed expectations.

Terry holds the Chartered Life Underwriter ( CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designations through the American College. Priding himself as a student of the business, he has never stopped learning new techniques that advance his knowledge and expertise in the business insurance, estate planning and charitable giving fields.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis on International Studies from the University of Wyoming. He spent four years on active duty and twenty two years in the Naval Reserve as an Intelligence Officer, eventually retiring as a Captain. His last assignment was as Chief of Staff for the second largest intelligence area in the United States.

He and his wife, Linda, founded a non-profit chapter of a Teen Suicide Prevention organization (Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program ) in 1997 that has reached over 350,000 middle and high school students, staff and parents and distributed over 1,000,000 Ask 4 Help! cards.

Volunteer Work

Docent on the USS Midway CV-41

As of April 15, 2016,  I am a docent on the USS Midway CVC-41 along with 430 other docents who volunteer and whose job it is to entertain and educate the 1,000,000+ guests who come aboard the ship each year. This group of volunteers is what gives the USS Midway it “Midway Magic” feel. Currently on Trip Advisor, the USS Midway is the #1 attraction in San Diego, CA
